Our Dogma
A belief
made visible.
Transformation gives
spirit its meaning.
DOGMA was created for those who believe a spirit should carry meaning beyond the bottle.
Rooted in the cultural depth of Mexico and interpreted through a contemporary lens. It can express origin, transformation, artistry and time. It can honour Mexico without repeating the familiar, and turn mythology into design and design into experience. Every DOGMA expression begins with this belief.
We do not reproduce Mexican symbols literally. We take them, abstract them, and transform them into a new visual language — one that belongs to galleries and to the present, not to nostalgia.
Transformation
Agave into sugar
Slow cooking converts the plant’s complex starches into fermentable sugar. What was fibre becomes something the earth alone could not make.
Liquid into spirit
Fermentation and distillation convert sweetness into character, and character into structure.
Time into depth
Oak and patience do what no process can accelerate. Time is the only ingredient that cannot be bought.
Symbol into design
Quetzalcóatl, the alebrije, the peacock and the sunflower are abstracted into a contemporary ornamental system.
Bottle into object
Each expression is designed to survive the liquid — to remain on the shelf as a piece worth keeping.
Moment into memory
The last transformation belongs to whoever pours it, and it is the only one we cannot design.
Origin
Made where
tequila is from.
DOGMA is produced in Tequila, Jalisco, from Blue Weber agave, under the denomination of origin and NOM 1489. Everything else about the brand is interpretation. This part is not.
Craft & Origin
The Volcano
The mountain
made the valley.
Everything DOGMA is made of starts with a volcano that stopped erupting long before anyone was here to name it.
The soil
The Volcán de Tequila covered this valley in ash and basalt. Broken down over millennia, it became the red, iron-rich, freely draining earth the region is known for — porous enough that water never sits at the root, mineral enough that the plant has something to draw on.
The altitude
The valley sits high, around 1,200 metres. Days are hot and nights are cool, and that daily swing is what slows the plant down. Agave that grows slowly stores more sugar, and sugar is the only thing the distillery has to work with.
The rain
A defined wet season followed by a long dry one suits the agave exactly. It drinks when the rain comes and then endures — and enduring is what concentrates it.
The plant
Blue Weber agave takes years to reach maturity in this ground. It spends that time turning sunlight and volcanic minerals into the starches that will later become sugar, and then alcohol, and then tequila.
The time
A field is planted once and harvested once. There is no second crop, no shortcut and no way to hurry it. The patience the brand talks about begins here, not in the barrel.
The name
The town at the foot of the volcano is called Tequila. The spirit took its name from the place, not the other way around — which is why the place, by law, is the only one that can make it.
The landscape of the agave fields and the facilities of Tequila, Jalisco was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2006.
Denomination of Origin
One region, by law
Tequila can only be called tequila when it is distilled inside the Denomination of Origin: the whole of Jalisco, plus designated municipalities in Nayarit, Michoacán, Guanajuato and Tamaulipas. DOGMA is produced in the municipality of Tequila itself, under NOM 1489.
Two worlds, one Dogma
One brand, two distinct universes. Signature is night, copper and ritual. Contemporary is colour, ornament and light.
